8: Department of Environmental Protection Public Meetings Regarding
the Total Maximum Daily Load Program (TMDL) in the Indian River
Lagoon. The
Department's authority for Florida's TMDL Program is established
in the Florida Watershed Restoration Act, enacted in 1999. The
Act provides a process for listing water quality impaired waters
and for developing, adopting and implementing TMDLs. A draft
"Planning List" of water quality impaired waterbodies
will be presented at these meetings. If you have any questions
