Mary Ann Gosa is assistant director of Government Affairs. Her primary function is serving as a liaison between the agriculture industry and two of the five water management Districts; South Florida and Southwest Florida Water Management Districts. She speaks for the agriculture industry on issues that impact them and she keeps members abreast of water management issues. Prior to being hired by the Farm Bureau in 1996, Mary Ann spent six years working for state Rep. Bert Harris, chairman of the House Agriculture Committee as a legislative aide. The year before that she worked as a legislative aide for state Sen. Don Childers. Immediately after graduating from the University of Florida, she worked for Independent Florida Agrinet, a farm broadcast network. Mary Ann and her husband, J.R., live in Okeechobee.
