Florida Farm Bureau Re-elects Loop and Roth

 

(ORLANDO, Fla.) - Carl B. Loop, Jr. and Rick Roth were re-elected president and vice president, respectively, of the Florida Farm Bureau Federation during the Federation’s annual meeting Oct. 28 at the Coronado Springs Resort. Loop, a Jacksonville nursery owner, has served as president since 1984. Roth produces vegetables and sugar cane in Western Palm Beach County. Loop and Roth will serve two-year terms.

John Hoblick, a Volusia County fern grower, was re-elected secretary and Howell Waring, a Madison County farmer, was re-elected treasurer. Farm Bureau’s secretary and treasurer are elected every year at the annual meeting.

Jeff Vermillion, president of the Marion County Farm Bureau, was elected to the board of directors form District 10. Vermillion is a beef producer.

Florida Farm Bureau Federation celebrated 63 years of service to agriculture this year. It is the largest independent agricultural organization in the state with more than 152,000 member-families, statewide. There are 61 county Farm Bureaus in Florida, where agriculture accounts for $62 billion in annual economic impacts across the state.
